After Superman foils his original plan to become a super-villain, Ambush Bug decides to become a hero instead, fancying himself as Superman's sidekick/partner and close friend (much to the Man of Steel's chagrin).

In Superman #42 (April 1990), Draaga takes a "space taxi" to Earth and challenges Superman to a fight to the death. Superman, under the control of the Eradicator, nearly kills him. But Draaga is dragged away by the "space taxi" driver, who is worried about collecting his fare.

Superman killed Doomsday with a Kryptonite spear, but was also skewered and died himself. Why didn't he give the Kryptonite spear to Batman or Wonder Woman to kill Doomsday? Ummm ... good question.

One of Superman's greatest enemies, General Zod first appeared in Adventure Comics #283 (April 1961). He was a Kryptonian warlord who had been banished to the Phantom Zone for his crimes.

Kandor is the former capital city of the planet Krypton. It was miniaturized and stolen by Brainiac, an extraterrestrial android. Upon its recovery by Superman, it has been kept in the Fortress of Solitude.

Amazing Grace is a New God of Apokolips and sister of Glorious Godfrey. She acts on behalf of Darkseid among the lowlies of Apokolips, continually instigating opposition and revolt which is quickly defeated, keeping their spirits broken. In her first appearance (Superman #3, March 1987), she seduces Superman into serving Darkseid.

Located in "Superman's hometown" of Metropolis, Illinois, the Super Museum features more than 20,000 items from the life's work of longtime Superman enthusiast and collector, Jim Hambrick who has amassed one of the greatest collections of Superman memorabilia in the world.

Originally, the S-shield had one meaning: S for Superman. The first alternative meaning was presented in Superman: The Movie (1978), in which it was the S-shaped Coat of arms of the House of El. Reportedly, it was Marlon Brando's idea to have Jor-El wear the "S" as a family crest.
