After Angel's wings were mutilated, Apocalypse offered to restore them if Angel would serve as one of his Four Horsemen. Apocalypse subjected Angel to extensive genetic alterations, giving him blue skin and organic metal wings which could cut through almost anything.

The Acanti saved Storm by entering into a symbiotic relationship in which she and the Acanti became one being.
