The Warhawk Air Museum, located in a large hangar at Nampa Municipal Airport, recounts the history of air combat, touching on WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam and the aviation technology of the Cold War. The museum includes a beautiful fleet of aircraft, including a Fokker DR-1, a MiG-17, a MiG-21, a P-40E Kittyhawk, a P-51C Mustang, an F-84G Thunderjet and an F-104 Starfighter.
A local congregation of the Church of the Nazarene built a small elementary school in 1913, which grew into Northwest Nazarene College in 1915 and finally to Northwest Nazarene University. In addition to its 90-acre campus in Nampa, the university offers extensive online degree programs and has branch campuses in Boise, Twin Falls, and Idaho Falls.
