300 1941 Cadillacs came equipped with a bulky factory installed air-conditioning apparatus. Reportedly, only 1 unit was installed in 1942. Cadillac did not offer AC again until 1953.

Leland worked in Colt's legendary revolver factory, where he learned the value of precision engineering--like using tools that could measure designs within a 1/100,000 of an inch.

The Cadillac Automobile Company merged with Leland & Faulconer Manufacturing to form The Cadillac Motor Company.

In 1951, Cadillac began production of the M41 Walker Bulldog army tank, which saw service in the Korean and Vietnam wars.
